Late summer and early fall is such a popular time for family photos that I usually hold limited outdoor sessions so that I can serve as many families as possible. Full sessions are still absolutely available during this time, but often families just want one or two updated images and don’t need a longer session, so minis are perfect for that! (I also do this for the holidays, so be sure to get on my mailing list if you’re interested in these annual minis. Folks on my email list are always the first to know when these special offers come up—and these dates usually book up fast!)

I chose a couple of dates between the months of August and late September and 18 families joined me. It was wonderful to see all of these beautiful families again. I love seeing how much they grow and change, whether it’s been a few years or a few months since I last photographed them.

There are so many pretty places for a photoshoot in the Eugene/Springfield area, and I like to mix it up each year so that families can have some variety in their images. I decided on Gillespie Butte Park here in Eugene for last year’s limited outdoor family sessions. It is a cute little park in a quiet part of town, so we pretty much had the place to ourselves. And because it’s elevated it also has some great views of the city.

It was so fun to spend a few evenings soaking up the last of the summer warmth with these lovely people! We had such a great time together—as always—and left with more great memories to carry us through the winter months.

If you’re interested in a family session of your own this year, be sure to get in touch so we can take advantage of the beautiful spring weather coming up, or those prime fall dates if you’re looking for something a little later in the year. Can’t wait to see you!
